AGNI PANKH is a finishing school program/workshop to help address the
EMPLOYABILITY of India's IT professionals, as well as to satiate the huge manpower requirements of the IT and ITS sectors.
AGNI PANKH is a joint initiative of Indus Crossing and K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) - which is ranked amongst the top 20 B-School.

This initiative emphasizes the critical aspect of Life skills education for India's teeming millions and Technical Graduates, which most employers are looking for.
The NASSCOM - McKinsey Study 2005 reported:
India currently has around 347 institutes of higher education and 16,885 colleges with a total enrolment of over 9.9 million. These produce around 495,000 technical graduates, nearly 2.3 million other graduates and over 300,000 post-graduates every year.
AGNI PANKH is a four week full time program designed specifically for technical Graduates i.e. B.E – IT and Computers or MCAs, who are still looking for their Dream Jobs.
It is being conducted in the State of the Art MDP Centre of SIMSR at Vidyanagari, Vidyavihar, Mumbai 400077. Our next batch commences in May, 2008.
AGNI PANKH will be imparting Customised soft skills to the students in a workshop atmosphere, wherein a team of well qualified faculty from SIMSR as well as highly experienced faculty from industry will hone Key Skill sets like:
Leadership, Team Dynamics, Communication Skills, Interview and Group Discussion techniques, Presentation skills, Resume writing, Time management and Career Planning. Besides other topics like Stress management, Persona enhancement and Goal setting will also be covered in detail over two weeks
A key highlight is the individual personality assessment by leading experts from the industry.
We will also address the Technical Skills gaps and will conduct intensive workshop training to polish the skills of the candidate and make him / her aware of the overall perspective at the Job place, how these skills and techniques are utilised in the real time industry environment. Renowned faculty drawn from the industry would Design and Deliver these topics like Hardware and Networking, Fundamentals of Operating Systems, Java technologies and Dot Net technologies.
At the end of the four week program, the student will be ready to face any Recruitment challenge in IT industry. We shall organize placement interviews with Reputed IT companies and selected candidates will be given spot offers.
P.S. - Outstation students can avail of Shared Accommodation at SIMSR-Hostel within Campus. Charges extra as applicable.
